Equine Body Work byMC

A Distinctive Approach to Equine Musculoskeletal Care
MC’s comprehensive and Integrative Care Philosophy
MC offers' a distinctive and holistic approach to equine musculoskeletal health. Her methodology is designed to address the varied needs of horses by utilizing a comprehensive blend of therapies and techniques. This integrative strategy ensures that each horse receives care tailored to its unique requirements, setting MC’s practice apart in the field of equine therapy.
Core Therapeutic Methods
At the heart of MC’s method is a robust combination of traditional muscle and connective tissue release therapy, paired with advanced modalities such as deep tissue work, somatovisceral therapy, and skeletal release techniques. This fusion of approaches has consistently resulted in successful outcomes for MC and her clients, highlighting the effectiveness of blending established methods with innovative practices.

Advanced Bio-Energy Technologies and Techniques
Beyond conventional therapies, MC incorporates a wide array of advanced bio-energy restorative and enhancing technologies. These innovative techniques stem from MC’s training over twenty years ago with renowned equine veterinarian Dr. Bill Inman. Through years of experience, MC has mastered tissue activation work, adapting her approach to suit the specifics of each case. As a result, she has often achieved favorable—and at times remarkable—results for her equine clients.
Program Focus and Distinction
The program developed by MC is dedicated to promoting overall musculoskeletal health in horses. This comprehensive focus further distinguishes her care from standard practices, offering horses a unique and effective pathway to recovery and wellness.
Types of therapy MC offers:
Muscle and Connective Tissue Evaluations- A critical starting point is to identify and address: Muscles, Fascia, Ligaments, Tendons, Scar Tissue, Impinged Spinal Column Tissues, Restricted Appendicular Skeleton ( front legs and back legs). After MC's assessment and awareness's of areas of concern or need of action she will utilize a blend of the following:

-
Hand facilitated Myofascial work-( this includes cranial sacral work, muscle communication, manually saturating mechanoreceptors until release with many techniques, pressure point therapy, deep tissue work from head to tail)
-
Hand facilitated deep tissue release work-
-
Hand facilitated energy and blood flow work- Quantum Touch, Tapping, Mind Body Awareness (bringing the horses mind to closed/compensating areas-increases healing potentials)
-
Tool facilitated (tissue activation) single thrust- SUPER SATURATING restricted tissues mechanoreceptors eliciting the reflexes needed in order to open/activate the somatovisceral blockages.
-
Tool Facilitated (tissue activation) repetitive thrust- SUPER SATURATING restricted tissues mechanoreceptors eliciting the reflex needed in order to open/activate the somatovisceral blockages.
-
Tool Facilitated Quantum Percussor Instrument-Activating and Restoring Tissue Frequencies-Breaking up Scar Tissues-
-
Erchonia PL5000 Cold Laser- see note below

The Erchonia PL5000 is an FDA-cleared low-level cold laser (LLLT) device designed to treat chronic pain, reduce inflammation, and improve blood flow and range of motion without heat, medication, or surgery. It uses dual-diode, variable frequency 635nm, 5mW red light, making it a safe, non-invasive, and painless alternative for treating conditions like arthritis, tendon concerns, and neck/back pain.

Guiding Philosophy

MC firmly believes that "Love" is the guiding force in her approach to helping animals. She is convinced that love is the key to understanding how we can assist them in achieving the behaviors and tasks we desire. This philosophy informs every aspect of her work and interactions, shaping her methods and results.
