Why?
The stall or domesticated equine is frequently isolated from herd situations or objects in their natural environment to utilize. If free to roam, horses will instinctively massage themselves by rubbing against objects found within their reach and often herd mates will scratch and rub each other. The device provides a similar experience in their personal living space.
Vision
The Equine Body Buddy was the idea of MC who realized that horses not only like to have pressure on their bodies-they need it! Further developed by Jim Parker, an Intel engineer who also has a passion for helping horses in captivity, the team is committed to fostering the promotion of such a device. The vision of MC's is that the stalled or corralled horses can scratch or apply pressure to an area of their body when no one is around. Yes, they use it, and love it! Check out the article in "Horse and Rider” magazine, the producers of the magazine were very interested in such a device for horses and requested to be able to be able to write about the exciting new product.
